Acronym for Preserving Archiving and Teaching Hip Hop History.
Randumb Miami is always very much involved in the community. In previous interviews we brought to you the IAHH: My Voice Matters program that reached out to incarcerated youth through hip hop and its elements.
P.A.T.H is a similar organization, reaching out to youth in our community on a larger scale.
"..The mission of P.A.T.H. is to preserve, archive, and teach hip hop history through educational community outreach programs such as summer camps, apprenticeships, after-school programs, lectures, workshops and concerts. The goal of P.A.T.H. is to instill leadership skills, community values and to encourage youth to pursue their passion.."
"..The "PATH SCHOOL OF HIP HOP CULTURE" offers programs throughout the year where hiphoppas (participants) will gain a broad and in depth understanding of hip hop culture. Hiphoppas will study Hip Hop history and philosophy and the 4 main artistic elements of hip hop: Dejayin', Emceein' (rapping), Bboyin' (breakdancing), and Writin' (urban art). Most importantly, they will learn how to apply the "Hip Hop Attitude" towards achieving goals.."
Later this summer, the P.A.T.H program along with the Miami Light Project will be hosting a 5 day camp and your ladies of RANDUMB MIAMI will be there taking part in what is sure to be an enriching experience for everyone who will attend.
We are huge believers that hip hop can really change someones life for the better, so this definitely an amazing opportunity for all those who apply.

Also, Keep with RANDUMBmiami and the P.A.T.H. program for the documentary by award-winning filmmaker Dan Perez documenting the program. The film features several of South Florida's most influential artists including Triple Seven, SoulFlower, DJ Immortal, Krave, Mecca aka Grimo, Lebo, La Guardia, Beta Rawkz, Kirk Nugent and a special appearance from Grandmaster Dee of Whodini. "P.A.T.H." reintroduces the "Old School" principles that were the foundation of early Hip-Hop while calling to question the motivation of today's rap artists and the stereotypes they have created..Here's a vid to tease.
