Miami is a melting pot of cultures, stemming from every place you can possibly imagine. A large percentage of the Miami population stems from Haiti. We have strong roots with the Caribbean and Haiti makes its presence felt here in our city.
Late Tuesday afternoon, Haiti was hit by a massive and lethal earthquake. With a staggering 7.0 on the scale, It left Haiti in "total disaster and chaos".
As always, we must provide our brothers and sisters in the island of Haiti with support in their time of need.
Take some time to visit some of these websites, spread the word, tweet for support, text, a little help goes a long way in times like these.
VISIT YELE website
TEXT the word HAITI to 90999 and $10 will be donated to the Red Cross.
TEXT the word YELE to 501501 to donate $5 to www.YELE.org for relief efforts.
(Charges will be made to your phone bill)
Helping is simple. Make it happen.
Our prayers and thoughts go out to those affected by this disaster.

Rock the Bells comes back to Miami
Because Miami was deprived of Rock of Bells this time around, we're getting our own little special performance at the Adrienne Arsht Center!
Yes. The Adrienne Arsht Center is hosting another major Hip Hop event.
We can only conclude 2 things:
That a prestigious performing arts center has finally opened its arms and embraced hip hop culture as an art form
Or...
Times is tough and they're taking whatever they can get!
The show will feature Nas as well as The Goodie Mob and !MAYDAY!
You know you NEED to see god's son Nasir Jones in person as well as the Goodie Mob and all its original members.
So go buy your tickets and we'll see you there!

The 365 project is very well known in the photography world.
You take a picture of yourself, everyday, for a whole year. No excuses.
Sounds pretty simple until you realize taking a picture of your plain ass face gets boring after awhile. Producing no thought to others or conjuring no feelings or emotions. In comes your imagination and a bit of cleverness and individuality and you can create magic.
Our boy Luc Alexandre started this project 224 days ago. He is still going strong.
His 3rd person view, behind the lens of a camera, has evolved every day since commencing this project.
& No need for fancy cameras and expensive equipment if you want to try for yourself.
Taking care of everything in life and still finding time in your day to think of this project is a mission within itself.
Follow him on his journey.
